Since starting Nordic Walking last September, I have made some fantastic new friends, walked areas nearby I have never known about, got outside - even in bad weather or after work, got fitter, chatted about all sorts of things, laughed A LOT, and definitely boosted my mental health and wellbeing. Just 12 months ago, I would never have dreamed of getting active in the rain, or even going out in it, but today our small group got out for an adventure walk and it was tipping down! We got soaked literally to the skin, but explored a lovely area - which had additional streams in the paths, and mud aplenty - but had a good time. Good weather or bad, every walk is worth it. Thank you Cecilia, for great training and making all this happen x

I've always enjoyed walking but Nordic Walking is even better.  I'm loving getting outside more, doing and moving more and am also finding it's helping me during the research aspects of my work.  My brain is definitely more active - bonus. Would definitely recommend Nordic Walking as a fantastic way to get yourself moving, and outside in the local area - exploring places in the local area that you've probably never been to!  A huge thanks to Cecilia for being a great instructor and for finding all these brilliant walks!

Meet new people, get out in the open air.  Amazing what the correct shoulder swing can achieve. Really enjoyed learning to Nordic Walk with Cecilia.  Start by doing as much as you feel able and then be surprised what you can do! Lots of lovely walks.  I've lived in and around Upholland for almost 30 years and found places I didn't know existed.  Give it a go xx

I can't recommend Nordic walking highly enough. It gets you out in the fresh air enjoying beautiful & often unseen parts of the locality with great company. The upper body is as important as your legs, so it's a whole-body workout after which you feel energised & very pleased with yourself. If your group leader is as committed as Cecilia Griffin you will be supported & encouraged every step of the way & nothing is too much trouble for her. We've had some great walks which are varied to add interest & something to suit all. Here's to the next one.
